Support doesn’t always look the way people expect it to.
It’s not always a big conversation or the perfect advice at the right time. Sometimes, it’s much quieter than that.
There was a moment when a teen was having a really hard day but didn’t want to explain everything. A friend sat next to them anyway, didn’t ask a lot of questions, and just stayed. No pressure, no fixing, just being there.
That counted.
Support can look like a quick check-in text. It can be someone saving you a seat. It can be a teacher giving you a little extra time without making it a big deal.
It can also be giving yourself space. Taking a break, putting on music, or stepping outside for a few minutes can be a way of supporting yourself.
Not all support is loud or obvious. Sometimes it’s simple, steady, and easy to miss if you’re only looking for something bigger.
It still matters. And you deserve to have it.
