🧠 What is Schizophrenia?
Schizophrenia is a serious mental health condition that affects how a person thinks, feels, and acts. It can cause them to lose touch with reality—seeing or hearing things that aren’t there, believing things that aren’t true, or speaking in ways that don’t make sense.
If your parent has schizophrenia, it can feel like they live in a world you can’t see. They may seem distant, act strangely, or become confused or afraid for no clear reason. This is not your fault. Their brain is sending them messages that feel very real to them, even if they don’t match the outside world.
