🧠 What is an Anxiety Disorder?
Everyone feels anxious sometimes—before a big test, speaking in public, or starting something new. But when someone has an anxiety disorder, those feelings of worry, panic, or fear don’t go away… even when there’s no clear reason to feel that way.
If your parent has an anxiety disorder, they might seem constantly stressed, overly worried, avoid certain places or people, or have sudden moments of panic that don’t seem to make sense. It’s not your fault. They aren’t choosing to feel this way. Their brain is just stuck in “alert mode.”
