đ§ What is an Anxiety Disorder?
Everyone feels anxious sometimesâbefore a big test, speaking in public, or starting something new. But when someone has an anxiety disorder, those feelings of worry, panic, or fear donât go away⊠even when there’s no clear reason to feel that way.
If your parent has an anxiety disorder, they might seem constantly stressed, overly worried, avoid certain places or people, or have sudden moments of panic that donât seem to make sense. Itâs not your fault. They arenât choosing to feel this way. Their brain is just stuck in “alert mode.”
