🧠 What is Borderline Personality Disorder?
Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), is a mental health condition that causes a person to have intense emotions, unstable relationships, and a shaky sense of who they are.
If your parent has BPD, they may go from being loving to angry very quickly. They might act like everything is your fault, push you away one moment, then desperately want to be close the next. It can be confusing, overwhelming, and emotionally exhausting—but it’s not because you did anything wrong. BPD is not about being “bad” or “dramatic.” It’s a serious condition that affects how a person reacts to stress, handles relationships, and deals with fear of abandonment.
